Hey mumma’s,
How are you doing?! I hope that you are enjoying the sunshineee ☀️ 😃
I thought that I would give an update as baby girl just turned 8 months less than a week ago (time just flies 🥺)…
Now that I am at this stage of motherhood, I have learnt So So much. I feel so emotional thinking about my journey and how far that I have come. 🙏🏾
The time when I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it, the times when I have been so in awe and so in love with my child, the times that I am Exhausted and wonder when I will get my mojo back. There has been a lot of ‘times.’ 💭
I don’t think I really comprehended how much lockdown took away a chance to make memories with my daughter and although everyone is in the same boat, I feel guilty 🥺😩.
Now I am trying to make each day count!!! Hope went from 3 months to 6 months in a blink and now she’s 8 months; when just the other day I was doing her 6 months photoshoot.

Anyway, as much as I hate to think about how much she is growing. I am grateful to God for how far she’s come and how far I have come as a mother. It is not to be taken for granted at all.
My top tips:
1. Trust your mummy instinct!!! No one knows your child better than you, even if you are a new mother.
2. Take each day as it comes. It is not easy and it is indeed a full time job but we will get there!
3. All babies/ children need is nurture. They don’t care about what materialistic things and other random things we think about.
4. You learn as you go. Try not to dwell on the bad and don’t forget the good.
5. Motherhood is a blessing. I have bonded with so many other mothers on this journey, which is Amazing.
I will be interested in hearing other mums tips, what have you learnt so far in your journey?! Please share ☺️ x
With love,
ANJ TALKS ♡

Great read!
I completely relate with the fact that Covid 19 has come in the way of some many plans and play groups, the great thing is that you have so much time to make up for it and with the lovely weather right now there are a plenty of activities and memories that you can create with hope! One thing I have learnt on my motherhood journey is to prioritise your well-being as everything else flows from that. A happy mamma is a happy child ! And like you rightly said following your gut instinct is key 🔑

Thank you for your comment hun! Yes, I guess less emphasis on the past and more looking forward to the future! 🙏🏾 Prioritising our well-being is so important because as you rightly said, a happy mamma is a happy child- thank you!🤗♥️

Great read! Great tips! For me, I e learnt to just go with the flow! I’m not the best at just going with the flow as I like to know about anything and everything, what options there are etc but I’m really learning to trust myself more regarding motherhood and accepting that I am her best advocate and I’m doing the best I can with what I have at the moment.

Thank you Erica! Going with the flow is very underrated. I’m the same, I like to know and for things to just work but being a mother is a learning curve and we shouldn’t underestimate how much so! I love that you are trusting yourself mumma, well done you!👏🏾🥰

Every child is different and so don’t compare your child’s developmental milestones with others. Take everyday as it comes. They will all surely hit their milestones.
Also it’s ok for your baby to cry. I hated hearing my daughter cry and so it took time until I got use to it. Crying doesn’t kill a baby 😂😂😂😂

Yes hun and also to remember that not babies reach their milestones at the same time or even not at all! I.e. some babies don’t crawl but walk straight away or stand!
Lol re crying.

Never to compare a child’s growth with another child… If a child is medically okay, every other things would fall into place with time.

Thank you for the tip hun! Sometimes it’s not easy to not compare but we have to defo remember that babies do things at their own times. Like you said, if they are medically okay then there is nothing to worry about!
